March 30 2017 12

If you didn’t get the memo for spring fashion, word on the street is that the culottes are going to be everywhere.  And with good reason.  Culottes are so versatile.  They come in tons of different fabrics and can be dressed down or up; they can be super casual with elastic waistbands or elegant with a high-waist and a slimming belt.  See how you can add the culotte to your fashion repertoire by checking out all the latest culotte styles.

The work slack needs revamping.  While classic black work trousers are a closet staple, it’s time to shake things up a bit.  Be adding a wide-leg and high-waist, the solid black culotte is sure to add an element of serious sass.  Work pants don’t have to be boring, they can break the mold.  With summer coming, the solid black culotte will upgrade the old wardrobe and make things feel less restricting.

Pleated

This next style of culottes is inspired by the 80s and 90s pleat.  All pants, shorts, and skirts are coming out with pleats.  The culotte is no different.  Be on the lookout, ladies.  The pleated culotte is super feminine and totally vintage; for this year’s fashion, it will be the best addition to any girl’s closet.  Don’t be left out of the fashion forward movement, get your pleats on.

Pleather

Another style of the culottes comes in form of pleather.  They are sleek, modern, and go with almost everything.  Dress them up with heels and some chunky jewelry for a night on the town.  Pair them with some sneakers and a baseball cap for a day out shopping.  Make them serious with a jacket and button-up shirt for work.  It’s almost like the pleather culotte is this generation’s version of denim.

Pastel Colors

The culotte in any shade of pastel beckons spring fever.  Pastels never go out of style, nor should they.  This season pastels are everywhere from nail polish, hair color, and shoes.  The culotte is hot off the runway and comes in all types of pastel brilliance.  Choose light fabrics to add a whimsical element.  It’s the perfect spring piece that brings candy-colored vibes.

Scarf Print

Last but not least, the scarf print is super hot right now.  While dresses and skirts have been decked out in scarf prints for a few season already, now it’s time for the culotte to parade down the street in scarf print glory.  Whether the print is black and white or full of vibrant colors, be sure to find a pattern that suits the season.  Big flowers, ethnic imprints, and animal motifs are popular as are geometric shapes and monochromatic tones.
