THE COOLEST FRENCH FASHION BRANDS TO KNOW

Date: Posted on Category: Fashion, Outfit, Tips/Trends Location:
I have done my fair share of world traveling but I must say, no city inspires me more in a fashion sense than Paris does. When we boil it down to history and culture, there is really no surprise as to how France essentially became the fashion capital of the world. It seems Parisian men and women just know how to innately dress in an explicitly elegant, yet natural way and this is true for the brands too. There are so many French labels that continue to wow me time and time again. Today on the blog, I thought I would pay homage to the new-age French fashion brands that are continually finding new ways to elevate, without straying too far from the classic Parisian style.

Réalisation Par

Rather than come out with complete collections every season, Réalisation Par operates a bit differently in the fact that they release individual pieces. Ideally, they see these items as missing from their own wardrobe (and yours). This label is an excellent example of taking iconic shapes and transforming them into something new and contemporary yet chic. I absolutely love their use of bold patterns, such as tiger print, newspaper typography and cherries.

Sézane

When I think of the expansive rolling fields filled with wildflowers on the outskirts of Paris, I naturally also think of Sézane. Not only have they captured the essence of soft, feminine Parisian countryside, but the amount of care and effort they put into their clothing makes it all the more special. If you are on the hunt for delicate tailoring, loose fits, and delicate prints, look no further than Sézane.

Musier

The statement, “You are my muse, Musier is our story”, is emblazoned across the website of this new Parisian fashion label. Anne-Laure Mais has done an incredible job of summoning the sheer power and beauty of the modern Parisian woman into each article of clothing. Musier takes classic silhouettes, like a cardigan, and makes it infinitely more interesting by embellishing it with pearl buttons. Each design is definitely out-of-the-box and designed for the woman who wears her heart on her sleeve.

Iro

This iconic label is all about celebrating women and their beauty. Although Iro’s price points are a bit higher, you know you are investing in quality, one-of-a-kind pieces.

Each item within their collection is all about flattering the body and you’ll find elements like waist belts, wraps, drapery, and deep v-cuts that work together to look universally good on every woman. I love the edgier, cool-girl vibe of this brand.

Sandro

Evelyne Chetrite, founder of Sandro Paris, was actually from Morocco, not France. However, she did move there as a teenager and caught on to the Parisian way of life, which is evident through Sandro. The clothing is definitely a little more daring and adventurous, but shares the soft tailoring and feminine silhouettes that are evident in many Parisian brands.

Jacquemus

I can’t complete an homage to Paris fashion without mentioning Jacquemus. In fact, their Le grand Chiquito handbag and architectural heels are absolutely everywhere on my Instagram feed right now. Jacquemus continues to put interesting twists on their everyday pieces to accentuate the sheer elegance and lavishness that is derived from Paris.

There are so many other fashion brands I love, including the major fashion houses (i.e. Balenciaga), but these are some of my newer favorites. What are your favorite French fashion brands?
