Instagram Outfits Round Up: Spring to Summer

Date: Posted on Category: Outfit Location:
Dressing for the transitioning season is always a struggle. Especially with the unpredictable weather that I was experiencing in New York in the past couple of weeks. Styling looks from Spring to Summer has always been a fun challenge for me and it was definitely a formidable task to come up with these looks, but rewarding at the same time. It’s almost June in New York, and yet I’m still finding myself needing a light jacket on random days. I hope these ensembles will help inspire you to put together some Spring to Summer outfits of your own while the weather continues to test our fashion senses.

Bold Stripes

In case you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed with stripes for the summer (see my tips on styling more stripe things here). I loved this bold striped blazer because it is such a statement. Pairing something like this with a simple mini dress would also be lovely, and I actually look forward to days that are a little chillier just to throw this over a casual denim and blouse outfit.

Cool Denims

Denim is an all year around staple, but I love how the blue tones keep denim looking cool and fresh for Spring to Summer. I literally have 4 other ideas in my mind on how to wear this denim skirt again even in the summer because of the high slit.

All the Frills

Ruffles and frills are the epitomai of Spring and Summer. I don’t know about you but I just can’t resist this trend. Ruffles are so cute on anything, like an off-the-shoulder top, a dress, and even skirts.

Summer Red

I’m totally matching with In-N-Out here, but trust me it was really unintentional. I know red isn’t a color that most people think of right away when it comes to Spring to Summer dressing, but for me, it adds such a pop of color with what I usually wear. Like denim, white blouses and even mini skirts.

Blossoming in Pink

Nothing says Spring more than cherry blossoms, so I’m channeling a whole tree of them here in this outfit. Pink denim isn’t common, but I love how easily it works with any simple classic top for the warmer weather.

Darling Off The Shoulders

When it comes to trends that I’m really committed to, off-the-shoulder is one of my top choices. Off-the-shoulders are really daring, and they can even be really subtle and sexy. But for the summer, I like my off-the-shoulders to be darling, with short shorts and flowy skirts. Don’t forget the matching sunglasses too!

Do yourself a favor and get a good denim jacket for Spring to Summer. They serve as a great cover up as well as a versatile jacket that you can throw over any look. A cropped one is great for dresses and more fitted looks, but I personally love an oversized one that can be draped effortlessly off my shoulders.
