There’s no doubt about it, Turks and Caicos is one of my favorite vacation spots in the Caribbean. Surrounded by resplendent turquoise waters, Turks & Caicos offers a tranquil retreat for urban city dwellers like me. The city is great, but sometimes you need a break from the bustle and hustle. This is the perfect place for that. I always leave this place with a great sense of calm and serenity. And if you are a seafood lover like me, you are in for a treat. They have the best conch dishes, hands down.
I had the pleasure of staying at The Regent Palms, a charming and luxurious resort. The resort is beautifully situated on the Grace Beach with magnificent and sweeping views of the ocean. The staff was also very hospitable and attentive, and the food at Parallel 23 was truly exceptional.
If you ever decide to visit, I suggest you rent a car for $60, and just go on exploring the island. The island is so small, you only need a day to see it all. Hubby and I had such an amazing time driving on the wrong side of the road, chatting with the locals, and trying out different conch dishes. We visited Bugaloo’s on the advice of a local one afternoon. It was a very casual beachside restaurant with live music. Sitting under the coconut trees and sipping a frozen drink while feeling gentle and fragrant sea breeze on my face was made even better by the food that we had. We munched on that was quite literally taken from the shore to the kitchen, right in front of your eyes. So yes, it was a very good day I’d say.
Amazing food, friendly locals, and picturesque views in any direction… it is indeed so easy to fall in love with Turks & Caicos.
