Stella McCartney Plaid Coat Similar | Plaid Turtleneck Similar | Eve Denim Jeans (ON SALE!) | Trademark Handbag (Almost sold out!) | Sigerson Morrison Boots (Sold out, Similar & Affordable)One of the best things about fall, especially as we approach the holiday season, is all the surprise sales that pop up. You guys know I love a good Shopbop deal and their Surprise Fall Sale is quickly coming to an end. I’d recommend shopping it ASAP so you can squeeze in some savings on clothing and accessories that will get you through the frigid months coming up. You can basically top off your wardrobe with cold-weather essentials, trendier statement pieces, or accessories. In case you missed the first few days of it, I wanted to round up 10 of my favorite pieces to elevate any outfit.
1 Faux Fur Coat
I’m always up for a new coat to add some newness to my fall and winter wardrobe. This one is priced perfectly at the $200 mark – I find that anything less requires you to sacrifice a bit on quality. The oversized lapels and slouchy silhouette are great for layering or throwing over any cocktail dresses.
2 Plaid Blazer
If you’re all about light layers or live in a different part of the country where winters are more mild, then you can’t go wrong with a plaid blazer. I love this menswear-inspired one with the smaller plaid print, double breasted buttons, and oversized fit. You can throw it over dresses or pair it with jeans and a tee.
3 High-Waisted Cropped Jeans
If there’s one denim brand I can’t get enough of lately, it’s Agolde, which also seems to be the denim brand of the moment for all influencers and celebs. This pair is reasonably priced and can be worn in a million different ways. The bit of kick flare is also begging to be worn with ankle boots (see below).
4 Tiger Print Booties
In case you didn’t get the memo, tiger print is the new leopard print and these Alexandre Birman booties fall right in line with the trend. Albeit a bit pricey, they’re a great investment and may be the only statement piece you need. Wear it with denim, all black ensembles, or go all out with a print on print mashup.
5 Balloon Sleeve Sweater
I have to admit that sweaters can become quite basic piece as we trudge further along into the colder months. But this one is far from basic. It ticks off so many boxes for me from the voluminous sleeves to the pom pom detail. You can get it in either blush or cream, but opt for a neutral if you care about versatility and timelessness.
6 Faux Leather Skirt
Leather is all the rage this fall, and this little mini can do wonders for you. There are so many ways to style it too – for instance, you can pair it with a turtleneck top and loafers for a preppy look, add over the knee boots for that IG it-girl effect, or dress it up with tights and pumps for a night out.
7 Combat Boots
The beauty of footwear trends this season is practicality. I was all over the combat boot trend last year and I’m glad that they’re here to stay. They’re great for the snow, while traveling, or when you just want to look cute but stay comfortable. These boots are super affordable (less than $200) and come lined with faux fur so you can keep your feet extra cozy.
8 Cargo Pants
You can never have too many pants during this time of the year. If you’ve been thinking about alternatives for denim, try a pair of cargo pants. The color block effect on this pair is statement-making but not over the top. I’m also suprised at how chic it looks with a pair of stiletto heels.
9 Blingy Statement Earrings
As the holidays are just around the corner, you might want to add some blingy jewelry to your stash. I’m a big fan of Elizabeth Cole jewelry and these earrings can take you far into the new year. Whether you want to dress up a cocktail dress or add a festive touch to your daily wear, this is an amazing style to try.
10 Leopard Slip Dress
I love dressing up, but I loathe buying pieces I can only wear once. That’s why I’m such a huge proponent of slip dresses. They can be styled in so many ways and made appropriate for any occasion. If I was to only buy one style to get me through the remainder of the year, it’d be this leopard slip.
